Volunteer & Community Service Opportunities

More and more, North Light depends on volunteers to enhance programs in place, explore new program possibilities or play an integral role in community organizing. Help is also needed in more direct ways...tutoring a child, painting theatre sets, coaching a team of children, sprucing up our facilities, etc. We hope that you’ll give some thought to how you might make this no risk investment of time, talent and self with an opportunity for solid short term returns and abundant long term gains.

KidZone Work with elementary school children. Homework assistance, child oriented activities, sports, field trips,and creative projects offered afterschool. Work one-on-one tutoring children who need some extra help.	North Light Players Do You have any hidden talents? Do you have an interest in the theatre? Work on stage or behind the scenes helping to build and paint sets.
Summer Day Camp Help provide children with supervised fun and enrichment during the summer school vacation.	Access to Technology Put your software or hardware skills to work by helping someone explore the vast world of technology in the lab or refurbishing donated computers.

Fundraising events throughout the year need many hands and are an important part of keeping our programs affordable for everyone.
